Radovica

Radovica in the municipality of Metlika is one of the largest settlements in Bela krajina with about 280 inhabitants. It lies at about 380 meters above sea level. Due to the higher location, there are many vineyards on the slopes. The parish church of the Assumption of Mary stands in the settlement. The church was built in the second half of the 18th century on the site of a 14th-century church. There is a voluntary fire brigade and two schools in Radovica; Bistra Buča Primary School and Bistra Glava Primary School, which show how the lessons took place in the 1950s and 1960s. Radovica is a great starting point for hikes. In nearby Krašnji vrh you can visit the lookout tower with a view of Radovica, Bela krajina and Croatia. Nearby is also Kal and the Orehovec spring, Kržunc watering place and washing area, Turine, karst cave, and stream Vuzelnica, etc.
